San Sperate, also known as PAESE MUSEO (Museum Town), is a small municipality in the south of Sardinia, just a few kilometers from Cagliari. The area knows how to impress visitors with its myriad of open-air artwork. Strolling along its colorful streets means being fully immersed in a world of art, colors, and tranquility. The community has warmly welcomed artists and visitors for half a century, with various cultural events throughout the year. For PAESE MUSEO , art and color offer an excuse for people to lose and find themselves, to spend time with others, to exchange ideas, to chat, to share experiences, and to express different emotions.
From 50 years of tireless hard work, the experience of PAESE MUSEO gave birth to SansperArte: a network of local cultural operators. This project aims at consolidating and spreading this authentic story all over the world.
